Just wanted to share a few other things I've been working on...

Vintage Windows

These are all original wood frame windows. The designs  have been applied with colored vinyl, which is available in a rainbow of colors.  The first two photos are original windows from a church we currently attend. I created these designs (thank you pinterest) for our Catholic School fund raiser where they will be available on the auction this weekend, March 15, 2015.

This John 3:16 window is approximately 25"x33".

This window is approximately 33"x25". Notice the pedestal legs of this window, which gives it a lot of character and I think would look great on top of a buffet. This window happens to have cut glass in it. So one side is smooth and the other side is cut with what looks like snowflakes or stars in the glass. Which is what makes this window much heavier than all the other ones, but still beautiful.

This window is approximately 28" x 15" and turned out stunning for a wedding gift. I have plans to design more of these for wedding options or they would be great for families too. Just like the baking dishes I etch, there are so many possibilities!

Deal of the Day at GROW Nebraska

Okay, sometimes I seem to be a little slow...or busy...there's something everyday on our calendar.  Sorry I didn't post this last Friday, but if you want a deal on a 9x13 Pyrex baking dish with a red lid, click on the link here. This is the first time ever these have gone on sale, so take advantage of it. Many of these went out the door for Christmas last year. However, you'll be the greatest gift giver ever (people have really told me that) no matter what holiday or event you are giving one of these baking dishes for. Christmas, weddings, gifts from the bride and groom, anniversary's, because you broke a friends pan and need to return it, etc.

Here are a few new designs that were created before Christmas 2014 and were available for purchase at the Nebraska Created store at the Norfolk mall. These are also available at the GROW Nebraska stores in Kearney, Grand Island and Omaha Eppley Airfield.

Speaking of Christmas, (which is less than 7 weeks away), please order as soon as possible!  Right now I can work on orders right away.  Don't wait to long to order,  I will stop taking orders by December 15th at the latest.

Also if you are in Norfolk at the mall, Sunset Plaza, look for the Nebraska Created Store to open on November 15, 2014. Design Haven Graphics will have a display there. Along with pans, pie plates, cookie jars and canisters there will also be vintage windows available.  More photos to come of those.

A Taste of Home

We visited the Orleans Hotel in Orleans, Nebraska this past weekend. It looks super! And feels like home. Especially since my grandma Lavonia's quilts are on almost every bed. Her buffet sits in the dining room, along with her dining room table and chairs. How I miss her! Thank you David and Marilyn for choosing to display her life. And for those of you in the area, I left some business cards there! — at Orleans Hotel.

Pass It On

designs...

I am so excited to be debuting the first design of many, as a way for you to be a blessing to others.  There are many opportunities we all have to bless someone we know with a meal. I've even given meals to people I don't know very well, yet they are part of a bigger group I belong to and I want to do something for them.

These designs are meant to be encouraging, uplifting, comforting; so others know they are not alone, whatever their need be. There are all kinds of different reasons to provide a meal: new baby, new neighbors, funerals, someone's just having a hard time right now or you just love to cook and take dishes to church or work or wherever.

My hope is that these pans will be passed on from person to person. They are a gift, but not the pan specifically, more the thought of the person who is sharing a meal.  Since the pan is not a gift for anyone in particular, these designs are being etched on pans that have some kind of flaw in them.  Enough of a flaw in that I wouldn't want to give it to someone as a gift, yet these pans are still usable, just with a cosmetic flaw. And hopefully with the designs that are etched on the pans, you'll never even notice the flaws.

Currently there is one pan available at each GROW Nebraska Store in:

Nebraska State Fair and

Kearney.  More will be available after Sept. 2, 2014.

Summer 2014

I'm working on getting this summers photos online. Now that baseball is over, the pool is closed and one full week of school is in the books, photos are at the top of my list. Along with the Nebraska State Fair!  

These two items are my favorites for the summer. At first the trifle was going to be an entirely different design, but the customer changed her mind. And I'm glad she did. The pie plate and the trifle bowl turned out amazing! Even better if you could see them in person. 

So if you love baseball, you might want to order these for yourself, or a friend!

at the Nebraska State Fair.  

Below are some personalized pans that will be in the display at the State Fair.   Not all of these pans can be on display at the same time. So if you have to get your hands on one of these, please ask whoever is working at the GROW store.  They will know if one of these is in the storeroom or may have already been sold.  

If you have visited the State Fair and are now looking at this page and want to place an order.  Please let me know right away, as I'm happy to try to deliver it to you on September 2nd when I return to Grand Island to pickup the display.  I can deliver  anywhere on Hwy 30 in between Columbus and Grand Island on Sept. 2nd also.   And of course shipping is always available too.

I'll be appearing on NTV's Good Life show, channel 13 out of Kearney, Nebraska.  The show airs from 9-10:00 am. If you aren't able to tune in when it airs, don't worry, you can go to  NTV's Good Life page and find it there. I'll see what I can do after I return about posting the video here and on the Design Haven Graphics facebook page.  Looking forward to meeting Carol Staab and seeing Roni Lewis! I grew up watching NTV and am elated that I will on the show!

I'll also be at the GROW Nebraska stores in Kearney from 11 am - 2 pm and in the Grand Island store from 3:30 - 6 pm on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014!  Stop by if you're in either mall that day!
